DIANA STARBUCK, born and raised in Toronto, has been a resident of the Sunshine Coast for 40 years. Being a single mom after her two children were in their teens, she returned to school as a mature student in the 1980's taking a 2 year Business Management Program. At Capilano College she studied Marketing, Accounting, Law, and specialized in Finance.
This lead to her first new job in the office at Gibsons Marina where she worked during the day. She missed working with people, so continued working at Gramma's Pub at night. Working two jobs helped Diana to save up for the Real Estate course.
When she began her real estate career in 1990, Diana’s business related background helped with her immediate success. Selling 5 houses in the first 6 weeks, no one was more surprised than Diana! She sold 32 houses in her first year achieving the prestigious Medallion Club Award from the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board (top 10% of all realtors).
Being a self taught artist her busy career left no time for painting, yet as the years passed Diana has made time and her colourful paintings of animals, gardens, and favourite places, reflect her love of the Sunshine Coast. She is a member of the Coastal Art Gallery (in Sunnycrest Mall) and has displayed her work in several other exhibits.
Because of her love of animals, she had always dreamed of living in the country.
Residing now in Roberts Creek with her horses Joy and Tari, Dolly the miniature horse and her 3 dogs Cody, Bronson and Audrey, Diana is grateful to be living her childhood dream!
